A Postcard

My parents were in a fender bender last week. While nothing too serious, my mom did require stitches and that makes three cars in the family, this summer, totaled. I think the rest of our family is hoping things truly do happen in threes and that their cars might now be safe but more importantly, we're all extremely grateful that it wasn't worse than it could have been. The hardest part, for me though, is that they're in Europe, and not being able to be near a loved one when something like this happens is a bit of a wicket I'm not particularly fond of....but it is what it is. Meanwhile, my mom continues to set the bar for me...she has not one ounce of drama queen in her blood even when she's duly entitled. So this one's for you Mom, the farm is beautiful right now and I wish you were here.
