Wading

It was 44C with the humidex factor yesterday, and today's forecast calls for more of the same. The hottest days of the year in September. It makes me pine for the beach already and I was hoping those feelings wouldn't surface until at least mid-January. Instead, I'm wading through what seems like a zillion photos that I hadn't had time to download off of my camera before now. So if I can't be there in person, at least I can be at the beach in spirit. I'll take that over firing up the canner for the next few days. The ripening world around me will just have to wait until it's cool as a cucumber out there or some reasonable facsimile.

  2. Wonderful atmospheric shot of the gull - there were bad bush fires near Sydney yesterday - now can that happen at this time of year!

  3. I know, the hot days don't seem fitting for Sept.

  4. Isn't it crazy, it's been in the high 90's, being a couple of our hottest days as well. It's supposed to get cooler by the end of the week tho.

  8. Great perspective in this shot! You must be in the same part of Ontario I am, it's still humid today but "only" going to feel like 41!

  9. It's still hot and humid here, too. Probably won't see much of a difference until October. Good news is that we can still enjoy the beach for a good long while.

  11. Great shot. We didn't make it to the ocean at all this summer. I so wish we had!
