Every spring since we've moved here, new flowers appear that I have never seen before ...flowers, wildflowers or weeds, and, this year, for the first time, some have started to disappear. I used to have purple irises every spring, this year they were all yellow. Strange days indeed, most peculiar Mama.
The Glimmer Twins are graduating from public school this year. Teenage drama has slowly started to creep into the old farmhouse, in bits and pieces. This may or may not explain me spending days on end in the garden.
I decided to grow zucchini this year after a three year hiatus. It grew too fast last time, and we froze more than should ever be frozen. It is one of my favourite veggies to cook on the grill so I've promised myself to pick them small this year and snip a few blossoms and fry them up like the Italians do.
I wasn't crazy about this shot; I'm not overly in love with the angle of these blooms hanging on the front porch, but the bokeh...oh the bokeh. Thank you maple trees for providing beautiful dappled light. We were tickled by all that delicious syrup you provided, but now I know who you truly love around here.
And now, I will blatantly repeat myself. I never tire of the view around this place. It's better than television, any dang night of the week.
Happy Start to the Weekend Friends

Oh I love your view too. I can spend hours outside watching the sunset at our place. We didn't get to see sunsets like these in the city.

WOW!!! What a wonderful series of images!!
I love your view, too. Lovely blooms and good luck with the teenage angst. Working in the garden is a cure/help for almost anything! Have a lovely week.
Gorgeous photos and view! I didn't plant a garden this year so I am buying my zucchini in the store. I know home grown is better so maybe next year.
Oh yes that would be a lovely view from the Muskoka chairs! Our youngest is graduating from gr. 8 on Tuesday as well. Where does the time go?! Happy weekend my friend.
I'm coming right over to sit in one of those chairs and soak up that view.
Nice shots! What a gorgeous view you have! Lucky lady:)
Beautiful flowers, bokeh, and view. We used to get so much zucchini from friends and family that I would fix it every which way but loose - would love to get some passed along these days.
That last photo - I love it! Reminds me a bit of home.
Happy Solstice & have a great weekend!
That is a lovely view. Congratulations to your graduates! Teenage angst is hard enough with one, the garden is a nice place to go to get away.
Love the Zuch blossoms. It looks peaceful there (even with teenage angst).
