The road less traveled

In less than two and a half years, our community has experienced two murders, the second of which was announced today. Both cases were shocking and senseless and both knocked the wind out of my sails. This country life may be idyllic but it's not immune to this crazy world no matter how much I pretend otherwise.

Our hearts are sorrowful, our souls lament and this entire community grieves.

The road less traveled seems all too familiar today.

Sad to read this today...sending prayers for strength to all. We experienced the same thing not long ago; an entire family lost in a nearby small town. Senseless and so sad...

That is such a sad sad thing. I thought it may be in your area. My prayers to his family. Senseless. It seems this is everywhere and this reminds us of that.We are no immune by living in the country. Hug B

I can still remember the first time you told us about a murder in your community. I'm so sorry to hear something so horrific happened near you again. :-(

Something like that is always disturbing but it seems to be more so in a small community. :(

Not sure where you live, but nonetheless, it's awful, especially since you live in a rural area. It must hit home pretty hard.

I honestly wonder if there is anywhere safe anymore...

There's such a shock, a lost innocence, when violence explodes wgere we thought life was safe and sanctified. So sorry for you and your town....

Oh, I am so sorry. That is terrifying.

No place is immune to this kind of thing, though we wish it was. My thoughts are with the family of the victim, and with you and your family as well.

It must be very hard to digest it all. I do hope they find those responsible and justice is served quickly to give your community some peace.

I'm sorry to hear this. I know what you mean, I feel a "false" security living out in the country that nothing (crime of any kind) can touch us here, only to find out that it's here all the same. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
