As I left the Rural Roost this morning, making my way back to the farmhouse,
I heard the unmistakable coos of a mourning dove. I've always associated their call
with a warm summer day, a comfy hammock and a good book.
A snow covered ground in mid-April...not so much.
I think the male twin summed it up best yesterday when he declared,
"What a wonderful winter we're having this spring."

too cute! :)
No snow here thank goodness ! Nice photo and video . The Doves here are always flapping about and calling they are funny to watch. Thanks for sharing. Have a good day !
What a beautiful shot. I am sure you are tired of the snow, but it does look pretty! I think we are finally done with snow in Pennsylvania for the year, but I can never be certain : ).
Sounds just about right . . . "what a wonderful winter we are having this spring!" . . . snow here today too . . .
This is so beautiful!
Ha ha! I guess this is when I should be thankful for our temperate climate (i.e. lots of rain and gray)!

my sentiments exactly!!!
Oh the male twin is so right:) Summer is coming I hope. We may be skipping spring all together. Love the tree shot.
Speaking of trees I do hope we warm up soon I am growing tired of loading that darn wood stove making for more work chopping more wood later:) Take care and have a nice day my friend. Hug B
Love the male twin's observation! LOL!!
Love it! Beautiful photo. I actually wish we still had snow here. :)
Sorry to hear you have snow in the midst of Spring! But that, my friend, is one gorgeous view. I love the mourning doves' call, as well as the male twin's observation ♥ -Tammy
Such a beautiful scene!
Crazy weather. My uncle called from Missouri going "It's the end of April and it's snowing! I should have stayed longer in the valley" LOL
We tried to tell him to stay.
