When the twentieth of March rolls around each year, I can be certain of a few things.
I always know my little brother will narrow that gap in years between to us, to an age difference that we can count in months rather than years. I like it; it makes me feel younger, albeit briefly.
We're usually in the thick of sap boiling, struggling to keep up with the supply before it spoils on us in the warm air.
And then there's spring, the equinox of our winter hearts.
This year, the sap is still frozen thanks to a spring that has not sprung.
I think I'll call my brother now and revel in the start of my four months of being the 'not quite so much older' sister 'cause one out of three ain't bad.

Enjoyed your photos. Spring hasn't quite sprung here, either. It is so cold but thankfully no snow :)
No spring for me either, woke up to snow this morning.

The icicle is beautiful, but I'm sure you've had enough of them. Hope spring comes soon!
Our sap is still frozen too, someday spring will arrive :)
