I arrived home last night to discover our pond had been overtaken by a family of six. I couldn't have been more delighted, except perhaps for the fact that I had my step-dad's 70-300mm lens to try for the first time. I've been itching to buy a new one, but the one I've set my heart on may have caused heart palpitations when I saw the price tag. I've been trying to justify it for the last few months but I can say that I've finally laid that notion to rest when with a minute to spare before the deadline, the Artist filed my tax return last night. Invasion of the pocketbook. And that, as they say, is the end of the story.
Taxes. Whose bright idea was that?

Fun indeed with the new family. They will be interesting subjects for some fantastic pictures. I don't like taxes either.

Oh my goodness! I love baby geese, and then they turn into big geese... Gorgeous picture though!
So sweet!
Love the picture! My husband would love to have those in our backyard!
loving the ducks. A pond full of ducks is one of those things which just screams of home...
The 70-300 lens is the one I'd like to buy next. So sweet. We have several canadian geese hanging out at our lake but no signs of any babies in the future.
Great picture.
