Yarn Along

While I'm still reading and learning how to be a better reader,
(see here)
I finished up my latest project over the weekend,
and I'm pretty happy with the finished result.
Sure, I could use just about anything to keep our bedroom
door propped open but can you honestly think of a cuter way
to use up some leftover craft yarn?

Me neither.

Way back before the holidays, I hinted about another project.
Now that Christmas is over and our gift baskets have been
delivered, here's what I was busily crocheting.
Lots and lots of dishcloths, and I managed to eke out enough organic
wool to make one for myself. I haven't had the nerve to use it yet, it's
so soft! They're so soft that my mom decided to use hers as a facecloth.

Love your door stop!
I keep a bag in my purse with wash/dish cloth knitting; they are all I use now and I love them.
Happy yarn along!

I've been needing a doorstop for our pantry door, but it never occurred to me to knit one. What a great way to use up some leftover yarn.

What a clever idea for a doorstop!

Way to go Andrea! The dishcloths are fun to make. This week at work I taught two co-workers to crochet and one made her first dishcloth in a pretty soft yellow cotton. She said it was too nice to use as a dishcloth too.

That's a cute doorstop! My mum used to make those dish cloths. They were the best. I miss her and them.

A lady I work with gives me a dish cloth every year for Christmas. I could knit them myself, she gave me the pattern. But she gives me one and I fear one year she'll stop making them! They are the best gift!

Love the door stop! What a great idea! We have actually had to remove most of the doors from our house...I have a door loving 19 month old, and between him and his 4 year old sister...well I was afraid they were going to rip the door off the hinges themselves :-)
