Each winter the Artist places this bird feeder outside our kitchen window. We enjoy watching the birds as they fly back and forth from the trees across the yard to the feeder and back.
We see the usual assortment of blue jays, cardinals and a passel of chickadees. Late last winter we had a pair of red bellied woodpeckers call this perch home.
This year, the Artist placed the feeder a little closer to the window in order to take some better shots of them as they stop in for a bite to eat.
This year, we aren't really seeing a lot of birds coming to the feeder. We haven't even refilled it yet and it's mid-January.
I wonder why......

Could be it's a warmer winter... the cat so close, too :-)...
And if it sat for a while before they realized it was refilled, the seed might have gotten moldy and they won't eat it.
Guess you had better move it back :(
I don't think they like that kitty watching them!
too cute.
the cat will get revenge!
My kitty watches the feeders too! Cute.
Too funny!
Kitty entertainment for sure!
Just yesterday, I told my husband that he has to put more souette (I think that's how you spell it!!) out for the birds. I miss all my winter birds that we've had here since we moved in. Somebody else in the neighborhood must be feeding them and I want them back!! : ) I sound like a spoiled brat, don't I?? LOL!!
Adorable photo!!

Eye candy for a cat for sure! Richard
Can they see kitty sitting there... mouth-watering & itchin' to catch a lil tasty birdie? heheheee =)
I hope the birds come back to your bird feeder!!! Did they ever come back? Your kitty cat is really cute, and I"m sure kitty would like those birds, too....although for a different reason :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
Love the perspective. Thank you for sharing!
I wonder why they aren't coming...they come here no matter what time of the year if I put feed out.
Love this photo.
Ember is head of security! And doing a fine job of it! Anyone need to keep birds out of their yard?
