Whenever I turn down an ne'er before traveled country road, the anticipation of happening upon new vistas is inescapable and the discovery of another charming barn is just plain giddiness wrapped with a gossamer bow of joy.
Taking a closer look at my photos and discovering that what appears to be a smudge on the monitor is actually the perfect capture of a dragonfly is a combination of delight and bliss gushing over the sides of my bucket of luck.

As kingfishers catch fire, dragonflies
draw flame;
As tumbled over rim in roundy wells
Stones ring; like each tucked string tells, each hung bell’s
Bow swung finds tongue to fling out broad its name.

Truly beautiful images and that dragonfly is like the icing on the cake! I realized that one of my landscape shots had accidentally captured an egret high up in a tree, I just love those little surprises!

The dragonfly is a treasure! love your photos!
As always, I love your barn pics. Wonder what you would do with all the barns around us????
I LOVE the drama of the clouds in that first photo. the lushness of the surrounding fields is lovely. this could be a painting! happy Tuesday to you.
just beautiful and how cool is that to capture the dragonfly!
My oh my oh my, beautiful scene, gigantic farm, & what an incredibly gorgeous sky... perfect! =) How I'd love to get inside that barn... I could explore for days in there as big as it is =0

I love the light in these photos!
How in the world did you manage to get the dragon fly in the picture?????? Amazing shot! You never know what little surprises your have captured until you look at your picture on the computer. Digital photography is such fun. Both of your pictures are lovely, but the processing in the first one is drop dead beautiful. Genie
Hi Andrea. Your unplanned dragonfly is a nice touch. I hope you can keep on finding barns, if the photos here are anything to go by. The Gerard Manley Hopkins packs a punch!
I noticed the dragonfly before reading, but after loving the photo above it...love that sky!
That dragonfly caught my eye right away and my first thought was "NO WAY. She added it?" Wow. What a fun surprise to have captured that. And dare I say, it's so perfect I have a hard time believing it. ;) Great job!
Great barn cluster!
