An after dinner stroll around the pond,
on a warm summer's eve,
to gather the makings of a delicious dessert.

Did you know?
Raspberry fruits are not real berries. The raspberry is an aggregate fruit consisting of many small drupelets around a core. When the fruit is picked these drupelets separate from the core, which makes it look like a hollow fruit.
Known in French as frambroise and in Spanish as frambuesa
while around the old farmhouse, they're known simply as 'they're gone already?'

Our Raspberries have been gone for a couple of weeks.
There are a few in the freezer. so good when mixed with vanilla yogurt.
Have a great week.
Oh yummy!
Yay! Our neighbors just told us their is wild raspberries down by the lake next to us, can't wait to get down there. :)
Raspberry harvest here in my county is HUGE. Our county grows and processes 75 percent of the United States raspberries... we live smack in the middle of the best raspberry "land". My son actually works for one of the big 3 farms and has been working crazy hours, only to get crazier over the next 4 - 5 weeks. There are a number of raspberry fields around our place and when those trucks go by loaded with flats the smell is AMAZING!
Hope you enjoy every single berry!

This is the 3rd year for my berry patch and still no fruit, I can't even remember what I planted, red or black...sucks to get old...(not really)! Enjoy them jewels!
The life your family has is simply wonderful. You are giving those kids such meaningful, peaceful experiences.
Those wild they're-gone-alreadys look really yummy. What did you end up making with them? Or were they gone already? :o)

Raspberries are my favourite!
You're absolutely right: a great reason to move to the country. There's nothing more magical for kids to pick their own food! :)
Blessings,
This Good Life
I used to love picking wild berries when I was a kid. We'd go out to my uncle's farm and pick berries, all kinds; and my aunt would make pies, jams, and good stuff.
Oh Andrea I cannot wait for our blackberries to come. I love them so much. Great pic. I never save any My Hero and I just pick and eat. B
