A First Shoot

My step-mom's family was in town over the long weekend from the Maritimes. It's the first time they've all been in Ontario together in 24 years and she wanted to mark the occasion by having some family portraits taken by none other than yours truly. I was flattered and more than a little nervous but I jumped at the opportunity.
So they came for a visit to the old farmhouse and I made them traipse all over the yard.

Really. All over the yard.
As the children of a notorious picture taker, these guys are used to posing for the camera which made my job that much easier. And they also have a great sense of humour and let me tell ya, that's a good thing when you're behind the lens.

I've never considered doing portrait photography; heck, two years ago I wasn't really even into photography but I'd take their photo anytime. Well, as long as they understand this barn and I are a package deal.

Happy Fourth of July Friends!
