Another barn, of many it seems, that I pass during my commute each day. Maybe I take too many of them for granted, because I've never really stopped to savour the beauty and charm of this one before now. Of course, it could just be that I pass this one early enough during my drive that my daily dose of java hasn't begun to kick in but Shakespeare wrote, "And oftentimes excusing of a fault doth make the fault worse by the excuse."
So please excuse my fault for passing this one by for far too long. Or better yet, here's the real reason I stopped. I can't seem to pass by a field of rolled hay bales, without imagining it as a large board game.
Checkers anyone?
Come to think of it, who notices a barn when there is an oasis of gold laid out before you?
I'll quit now, while I'm ahead.

I see the beauty through your eyes and your words...simply breathtaking.
{sigh....} You photos are dreamy. And I love the header pic! I could stare for ages at them.
These are fabulous. I love the golden bales. B
Only you could make hay look golden and beautiful.
You're too funny :) And so talented in capturing these beautiful barns and fields and... everything. Just gorgeous! Love the texturing on these as well. -Tammy
These photos are fab!!!
Love the photos! The fields seem extra golden this year. I've yet to get a picture, but they're just really beautiful.
Coming here by way of the habit of being. I always stare at farmhouses in fascination, wondering what has come before. They are just stunning as is your picture.
Your photograph's are simply amazing, I never tire of them.
Love what you did to these. The barn photo looks like a painting...Nice!
I've never thought of a hayfield that way, but I can see your point. Hmmmm. Stunning gold.
I too pass by many barns on my way to work and back (and hay fields) and only since I stumbled onto Barn Charm did I really start to 'see' them. Now I'm fascinated.
Lovely barn you've shown. But I can understand about not being yet awake enough. That second cup of coffee is a big one for me!
that golden field is something!
can't decide if I love it more than the barns
These photos are gorgeous. I love the processing.
I sure love both photos...
Andrea
Thanks for sharing both the field and the barn.
As a midwestern girl I do miss seeing both. We have a few barns near here, but definitely no wheat fields.
Every area has it's own beauty, doesn't it? And it's so true that we sometimes take for granted the familar.
No-one could blame you, Andrea, when you have some wonderful, broad views around you as this golden field, if you sometimes overlook the odd barn...
just gorgeous, both photos!
The barn would catch my eye first, but the field of gold would be a very close 2nd LoL! =)
Thanks again for joining in Barn Charm, Andrea! =)
It would be relxing to pass that everyday. Thanks for stopping and sharing with us.
these exquisite photos scream SUMMER! love the trees around the barn, and the vast golden field. you've captured the essence so beautifully. I hope you're having a really fun week.
I know what you mean about 'barn blindness,' but each week my eyes are opened more! What a great composition in the first photo....and that hay field is so mid-summer.
Really stunning...great processing work!
A lovely, lovely shot.
