If a June night could talk, it would probably boast it invented romance.
~Bern Williams~
On a warm June evening, as the sun dips it's head behind the trees,
and the bull frogs croak their nightly chants,
I'm reminded of the translation of their song by my great grandmother.
Says one bull frog, "More room, more room."
And the other replies, "Can't have it, can't have it."
I hope wherever you are, you have a chance to enjoy a warm June evening,
preferably with a chorus of bull frogs.

The content and the texture of this photo are superb. Our June here in Kentucky is sweltering already.
Such a lovely photo and post. (You could link to Barn charm Tuesday too).
I am so in love with your barn shots and photos in general. And how cute are your Grandma's words!

I've been hearing frogs, but it's cold and windy here, down south...certainly your lovely image captures spring though, Andrea, with its slightly hazy air, and suggestion of abundance...
Beauty full. You should make a book of these barn shots.
This shot is beautiful...frame worthy I'd say. We're full into summer here...upper 90's and heat indices into 100...whew...covered in cicadas.
I agree with Deb about making a book of these shots.

We have jumped into the hot blast of summer. Our frogs are singing, more rain, more rain.
Loving everything about this!!!!
Everything!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'll have to listen to our bull frogs to hear what they say in Texas. :)
So beautiful - I love hydrangeas and I love the perspective here.
love the quote - beautiful shot - we have the warm June evenings - no frogs here!
Oh my, this is so good. Love that texture too.
Hope you have a great day!
Beautiful capture, great composition. Found you through Trendy Treasures. I just moved from a city in Southern California to 3 acres in rural PA. It is quite a change and we are loving it!
Full of beauty and nostalgia!

Thank you for the wish!! Yes, plenty of warm evenings here, along with the songs of bullfrogs. The only thing I wish we had were fireflies (we called them lightening bugs), do you have those? Could you send some of those down here, please?
What a dreamy pic. I love it!
Fantastic!!

the texture on this picture really makes it amazing but i am sure the original is beautiful. I LOVE this!
Andrea, your photo and texture = simply perfect. Couldn't love it more! The bullfrogs' translation is also wonderful. I'd much rather hear the frogs than our cicadas singing here. Seriously, these bugs are getting quite obnoxious ;) -Tammy
Fabulous! Love every aspect:)
Andrea, I am just smiling ear to ear over that croaking translation of your great grandmother's! I love stuff like that.
