Yesteryear

Yesteryear, was when I hadn't spent three days digging new gardens for pumpkins and squash, asparagus and strawberries.

Yesteryear, was when if I had done those things, my body wouldn't ache quite so bad.

Yesteryear, when I didn't need a long weekend to recover from a long weekend.

Yesteryear, the Kim Klassen texture I'm using on this pic I took of one of our lilac bushes just on the verge of blooming.

Yesteryear, is what I'll be saying in less than two weeks when these blooms have gone out in a blaze of glory.

Don't kid yourself, I still had time for a movie. Our choice, which fit in rather neatly with the male twin's current science unit on flight, was Fly Away Home. Based, very loosely, on a true story of Bill Lishman from Ontario, he successfully lead a flock of geese on their winter migration from Ontario to Northern Virginia. A technique that he eventually used to help reintroduce migration patterns to the Whooping Crane in an effort to reestablish this endangered species.
