Novica and a surprise at the end of this post.

 Have you heard of Novica?

Don't worry, if you answered no, you're in good company,

with yours truly

Until recently, I hadn't either.

Novica is a fair trade artisan website, partnered with National Geographic to

bring the artistic talents of artists from around the world to you

through the internet, because not everyone is fortunate enough

to have their own Artist at home.
I've browsed through their site, and browsed and browsed

and browsed a whole lot more. And then the male twin browsed, he loves the men's rings.

This place is bursting at the seams with unique and creative items.

Their site is uber-organized, so if you looking for a gift for your best friend,

an eco-friendly gift or even a corporate gift, they've made searching

for whatever you need, fast and simple.

And while supporting a local economy is important to me,

supporting fair trade is also very near and dear to my heart.

In fact, I would highly recommend checking out how they are helping artisans

through their micro-finance  assistance. By assisting in financing an interest free loan,'

you are helping an artisan with expensive start up business costs or perhaps to help

them build up their stock.

And to help spread the word about this supportive, fair trade site, and with the generosity of Novica,

I am delighted to offer a giveaway for a gift certificate from Novica for $75.

So here's the sweet and lowdown on the giveaway.

I dare you to visit Novica and leave me a comment telling me what your favourite item is.

If you're a follower and you leave a comment, you will automatically be entered a second time.

Blog about this giveaway and I'll give you a third shot, just be sure to let me know.

And to make it fair, because once you visit Novica I probably won't hear from you for days,

I'll leave this giveaway open until March 19th midnight.

Have fun browsing!

The photos above are some of my favourites.

(and as I preview this post...it really is a coincidence that they're all green-ish!)
:::::::::::
If you haven't done so yet, please check out my new button post below

and tell me which one is your favourite. It' a pretty tight race. Ha!

~Be well friends!~

OH MY GOSH Andrea! I'm going back again tomorrow to see more things as it's past my bedtime now. I LOVE the purses (handbags) and those orchid petal earrings are just beautiful. Please put me in for the draw and of course I'm a follower. I'll put your give-away in my sidebar tomorrow and will post another comment then. I can hardly keep my eyes open so I'm heading to bed. I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

I'm thinking maybe the wood walking stick, 'Master of the Sky'. Just gorgeous! :)

Boy, what a lot of neat stuff! I love the handbags (I'm in need of one but how to choose). I like the outdoor metal signs - the horse is gorgeous but the rooster would be neat as well. Decisions, decisions.

Nice site! I'd probably have to pick one of the miniature paintings - like the woodpecker or ducks' nest. :) And I'm a stalker aka follower. :)

I had never heard of the site before, thank you for sharing it with us. There are lots of beautiful things on the site, but my favorites are some of the earrings. I especially like the 'magic circle' earrings.

I think I've shopped Novica before? But I'm happy for the reminder - what an awesome place to shop! I love the amethyst rooster ring (even tho it's a man's ring, it would go perfectly w/ my new chicken wellies.. lol). Thanks, Andrea! and yep, I'm a happy follower! -Tammy

Thanks for posting about Novica. I didn't know about the site. there is a beautiful handled basket that would be lovely to bring food in from the garden and a wonderful alpaca sweater that I could see myself staying toasty in.

WOW my list would be WAY to long to list. Lets Just say I could set my table with ALL the green table ware. I could stock my bar (that I don't really have) with all that green glass ware. and I could fill my closet with all the green clothing items. That green Pitcher and glassware set is way up there on my favorite list.
And I follow you already. Thanks for the giveaway.

Wow ... I didn't get past the rings and already have a lengthy list! Tomorrow I will have to dig deeper and make a blog post too. =)

I'd never heard of Novica specifically, but Overstock.com has a similar section of their website. The whole idea is great! I don't even know where to start with what I like. I just spent 45 minutes (!) on their website... I think it really might be too hard to choose.
