It never ceases to amaze me that in almost three years of living in the country,
I still see something new every day, and this is no truer than when I venture out on foot.
Something that hasn't happened near enough over the winter when
I tend to stick to our back woods, or during the summer,
when you can usually find the Artist and I cruising the rail trail on our bikes.
So this time of year, when I'm itching to get more exercise
and all the fresh air I can handle, I find myself with a plethora of opportunities
for getting a little snap happy.
And in my books, there's nothing better to get snap happy about than a barn.
And the older the better. Wouldn't you agree?

And throw in some good old fashioned iron, and you've got a masterpiece... :) Lovely job, Andrea!
Very nice...and snap happy is a new term to me, but oh, so fitting.
I love old barns. Even have some old barn pics hanging in my house. I found a denim colored barn in our area once. It was BEAUTIFUL!
Love it! We're having all sorts of new treasures like this show up as the snow melts. Fun part of moving in the winter.
I love the look of the old equipment with the barn in the background.
A photograpy hobby really helps you to notice the little things doesn't it?
yup ~ i agree!! great shots!
:)
SNAP HAPPY:)))
Love it and what you have to show for it. Just stunning...
Beautiful!
Your photos are beautiful....they capture another era so wonderfully.
I tend to get that way this time of year after being cooped up in the house too much. Love your photos.
I couldn't agree more! The winter here wasn't the best for photo opportunities...gray, dreary, not the best background. However with spring here, well, officially that is, my camera is staying at my side. You never know what you'll find on your travels...terrific photos! -Mary
Great shots...love the sephia finish!
I love old barns and your barn photos are lovely.
Thanks for your note too!

Yes, the older the better! I just love the historical feel of these old barns! =) I don't know what that old piece of machinery is, but I found a place over the weekend w/ something very similar in the yard beside it, too! =)
Thanks so much for joining in... very much appreciated!
Your photo looks like it could have been taken 100 years ago. Love the old iron you included. :)
Wonderful photos, Andrea! Always fun to see your homestead through your eyes.
Thanks for linking up to the Barn Hop!
Beautiful pictures Andrea. Simply beautiful. Someone please help me with my Elements. I am going to have to stop reading blogs and spend some time learning how to use my Elements so I can do me some Actions!
Another thing I enjoy about living rural is that the same things look so very different as the seasons change.
Nice barn shot but for me the highlight is the rusty old iron.
