Beautiful scene. I remember skating on a pond while growing up in North Dakota. Great memories for me.

Although I'm not really a "snow/cold person" at heart... it would be so COOL to have your very own ice rink! If we'd had this during my son's hockey playing years, we would have gone through a lot more skates and/or skate sharpenings though.

I'm new to your blog, but I'm already struck by your carefully studied eye and your ability to share not only the optics of a scene, but the tone, the feeling, too.
I'm not that far from where you are, so moments like this resonate very deeply in my soul. This is absolutely pitch perfect, and may we all have many more moments like this to savour in the months and years to come.
What a great moment to remember for sure. I bet it is a great rink -would love to see it in full swing someday :)
