where Robert Plant's brother is hanging outside, headbutting and biting anyone who comes near,
where there's lots of wool, more wool, adorable notions and beautiful hooked rugs,
and where a course on beginner rug hooking just happens to be on offer?
Well, I just don't know my dear,
but please do tell. What does happen?
For starters, three ladies have a delightful morning, and then they all went home and quickly finished up this design.
Didn't we?
And they also became hooked on hooking.
And then one of them gloated because she's is retiring, come the end of this week.
And I wish it was me.

Andrea,
That is the cutest little red... barn? I think?? I do love the hooked rugs though, it looks like a lot of fun.
Just so you know, I've heard from others that the retirement gig isn't really that great, then again maybe they just want me to keep working!
Have a great week,
Chris
Retiring? OMG. Now the stalker will be stalking full time. Better get a handle on this now. Just sayin...
Hooked on hooking? Andrea, really. Times are not that tough!
I hope you brought home that cutesy Lama! To die for :)
xo, misha
How fun!
Love that sweet design! Yay for you...sounds like it was a terrific day. You've inspired me. Ages ago I began one myself...I may have been expecting Little Man, so it's been awhile! But there it sits in a basket, just waiting for me to finish while the winter winds blow. Thanks for sharing yours! -Mary
Sounds like you had a blast! I wish you could have been here this past weekend to go to the Harvest Days and Fiber Festival with me... it was loads of fun too. Hooking looks like fun! Great job!

LOL great post Andrea! Sounds like you girls had a wonderful time and learned something new. I LOVE that little red barn and I think I need to look into this rug hooking thing...seems like fun and I LOVE the results! Thanks for sharing your day with us. Have a wonderful day.
Maura :)
A fleece festival... that sounds like heaven to me. Wish we had something like that here, I would love to go. The little red barn is adorable!
Have a great week,
Anke
I love your stalker. Poor dear! I also love rug hooking. I inherited all the fixin's from my husbands' aunt a few years ago. Our work is definitely not up to her standard but we're working on it!
Love the rastafarian looking sheep! The Fleece Festival looks like it was fun and much luck to the soon-to-be retiree! She will now have more time to pursue her 'hooking'!
Oh, the barn is adorable. Hooking is something I have always wanted to try. The RUG variety! Lucky lucky girl to retire.
This reminds me of my mom, and a Dutch friend of hers from our Church growing up. My mom had just met the lady, and she told my mom she was a HOOOOOOKER. My mom did a double take before she figured out the accent and the art of rug hooking. They joked about it for years.
Robert Plant indeed!
What a fun time ... you game for more?
Ask your stalker for details!
Great fun and a great rug. I know you all had a wonderful time :)
Amy
Good Morning Andrea! Love the link back to the story of your stalker!! Sweet! And Andrea's Mom, you are going to LOVE retirement!!! Love all the rug hookin'! Now if I could just quit with the procrastinatin' and get hookin......
Oh my goodness - I adore that little red barn! One more skill I must learn, maybe w/Sarah. I have tons of hooked rugs here but none I've made... Great post Andrea!
hugs,
Leslie
Great photos, beautiful rug! Good luck with the hooking....
*sigh* I wish it was me too. I'd LOVE to learn how to rug hook. Yours is wonderful! I love the vibrant colors. And Robert Plant's brother sounds like he's having a baaaaaaah-d day.
