My son's grandma passed away today. If you had met her, you would be able to say you had met the sweetest soul that ever walked the earth. Now, she is the sweetest soul in heaven.

I do know that women named Gwen are sweet souls. This is my Mom's name. I guess only angels are named Gwen!

Thanks for sharing that with me Misha, she was so sweet, a very meek woman with a tremendously generous heart. As she went into surgery yesterday she said she knew where she was going if she died. I take great comfort in knowing I will see her again. My son is doing okay, it's still hard for him at 10 to completely grasp everything. Fortunately, he spent a weekend visiting his Grandma not too long ago and I will help him use that to keep her alive in his heart. I don't doubt she is his guardian angel now, she loved him so much.
I'm so sorry Andrea. I've just lit a candle for her as is customary in my family. I'll think of her as it burns bright this evening.
